Terms and Conditions

Q’eswachaka Peru Tours is an offical tour agency in Cusco, Peru, and is thereby required to comply with all the restrictions and conditions of Peruvian law.

Q’eswachaka Peru Tours operates its tours and excursions in little-known areas which are not often frequented by tourists. In these regions, the standards for transportation, lodging, and other services may differ from your country or city of origin. Nevertheless, we strive to offer the best service possible.

Respect of the environment: All participants in tours operated by Q’eswachaka Peru Tours must commit themselves to the respect of the environment and not litter in any of the places that we visit.

In order to get the most out of a tour with Q’eswachaka Peru Tours, it is neccessary to be flexible and have patience, a positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and an understanding that occasionally plans must change due to events beyond the tour operator’s control.

Risks: To reserve or participate in one of our adventure tours or excursions, participants must assume and accept the associated risks. For its tours, Q’eswachaka Peru Tours will not accept any type of responsibility.

Medical Restrictions: You must let us know if you have any medical restrictions or concerns which may affect your ability to participate in a tour or excursion. This information must be given when you make your reservation.

In extreme cases, such as uprisings, mutinies, riots, civil conflict, terrorist activity, epidemics, natural disasters, unusual adverse weather conditions or fire, Q’eswachaka Peru Tours will not accept any responsibility and we reserve the right to modify, postpone, or even cancel trips and tours if necessary (only in cases where there is no other option available).

Cooperation with other tour operators: We reserve the right to work with other tour operators in the event that we do not have or are not able to reach the minimum group size for a tour. In these cases, clients will always be notified in advance.

In the event that any piece of our equipment is damaged by a participant during a tour or excursion, that participant will be expected to pay Q’eswachaka Peru Tours for the cost of replacement or repair. This includes, among others, car seats and other equipment.

Pre-Trek Briefing: The night before your tour or excursion, there will be a brief orientation meeting where we will explain the itinerary in detail and answer any further questions you may still have. The exact time of this briefing will be determined when your reservation has been finalized.

Cancellations

Your deposit is 100% non-refundable. If you need to cancel for any reason, as you approach your tour start date, there may be additional cost due. There are absolutely no exceptions (we do not accept medical notes of any kind) as our out of pocket expenses are non-refundable to us.

ONCE BOOKED, DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. CHART BELOW OUTLINES WHAT FURTHER FEES WILL BE DUE.

Finally. If you become ill or injured on the trail and are unable to continue, a porter will be provided to accompany you back to an area with emergency assistance capabilities. Helicopter air lifts and medical assistance are at the expense of the trekker. If you are unable to complete the tour due to illness, we will assist you in meeting your group at Machu Picchu to recommence your tour at that point. There will be no refund of the original payment. However, we will prepare a document to certify illness which can be presented for your travel insurance.

We Reserve the Right to Collaboration

In case we do not meet the minimum size group or we do not have the personal to operate the tour ourselves, we reserve the right to occasionally collaborate with other tour operators. In these cases, the client will always be notified in advance.
